Human beings like any other living creature, need to rest.
But in this era of hyper-productivity, we've been taught that rest is for the weak.
That we should always be doing something, anything, to be more productive.
That if we're not productive, we're not valuable.
When we need to remember that we're not machines, we're human beings.
We need to rest, we need to sleep, we need to disconnect.
Many times you feel guilty if you're not doing anything productive.
But that's not healthy.
Going out with friends, spending time with family, or simply doing nothing are all valid ways to pass the time and relax.
Don't let the culture of productivity consume you.
Be kind to yourself, and remember that you're not just your productivity.
